  1. Im not really sure.

For tennis season, everyone got accepted into the teams.

They are like practices actually, just try your best and you could get on JV or Varsity. And be prepared, because I wasnt prepared the first day so I had to sit out. That means bringing comfortable volleyball clothes, maybe even bring your own volleyball and stuff.

  2. When you try out for your high school's volleyball team, you should focus on several things.

Be a good teammate.  Encourage the other girls and applaud their good plays.

Have a positive attitude!  Many coaches will overlook you if you have a sour attitude, no matter what  your game is like.

Give it your all.  Pay attention and go all out.  Good luck!

  3. Well sometimes it can vary for different schools but one thing you should focus on is serving. Most schools serve overhand so you might want to practice that style and practice on your power. (and if your worried about your serve not being powerful it's ok you don't have to be the most powerful hitter but just stay confident and that will show).  As well as how you will approach the ball when your hitting it. If your not a setter then maybe practice with a friend on passing to the setter (which would be your friend or you if your a setter).

At my school for tryouts we do some drills, practice hitting the ball around, and some workouts with groups. It's actually just like a practice. Mainly the coach is just finding out what are your strengths and weakness. well that was just a summary of some things you will do. But volleyball really fun and you should go for it. well i hoped i helped you out a little. Hope you enjoy it!!!

  4. hey there!

When trying out make sure that you

    1. Make great passes to the setter. Keep your arms locked and STAY LOW do not SWING!. and if you can pass it to the setter just try to pass it high so she has time to get to it

    2. Work on your hitting/approach.

    3. SERVES! serves are very very important. If you can't get thee BALL Over the net... you prob. won't make the team.. or will be pplaced as a benchwarmer on jv. ! Serves can make you or break you.

    4. Setting. If your'e a setter this is very important to get this down. If your not ... there wil be time to work on this during practice

Tryouts are kinda like practice. Except that some people will get cut. Just make sure your cheer your teammates on when they do something good and try to hustle ( even when you go to get water), the coach will think you're a great team player and a hard worker.

At our tryouts we do drills... to make sure we have the basics down. We do drills for huitting, passsing, setting, and serving. The coach just wants to see what your stengths and weaknesses are.

GOOD LUCK!!! let me no how it goes. lol an i have tryouts this fri!!! =0!

  5. Well, yes. Tryouts are usually a little bit longer than practices because coaches need to see if you are even able to do good in practices.

You should focus on the ball, or whatever you are trying to do:

    - Serving - focus on getting the ball over the net

    - Hitting - focus on hitting the ball to the ground hard

    - Bumping - focus on getting the ball to your target (setter usually)

    - Setting - focus on getting the ball up and to your target (hitter usually)

    Our Tryouts went like this:

    1) Stretched

    2) Ran laps

    3) Played Pepper and just passed the ball back and forth with a partner to warm up

    4) Did bump, set, hitting drills

    5) Scrimmages

    6) Cuts

With lots of drills in between.

This is what coaches look for in a player (what you should do):

    - Be LOUD! (Call for balls and cheer on team mates)

    - A leader on the court

    - Pro ball shagger

    - Good strong serve

    - Hard spikes

    - Controlled bump and set

    - Know the rules

    - Know the bump, set, hit technique

    Hope it helps.
