High voltage cables close to property.?

Has anyone tried to claim for high voltage cables close to their property? I have them stretching over my rear garden hedge.

Has anyone been succesfull?

  3. Were they there when you moved in? If they were don't complain about them, you shouldn't have moved there.

    If they were added after you moved in you should have gone to the zoning hearing.

    It is Dangerous & Not Dangerous it depend upon what product keeping near the High Votage Cable which cross your Garden.

    Please take care the Following points

    1. Do not keep any Dry Wood/paper/Platic/thermocool/Tyres under the Cable which cross your Garden. This items will catch fire easily. Ensure that all unwanted items should removed from your Garden and House also.

    2. Always keep River Sand in Metal bucket in Garden, for Emergencies.

    3. Do not allow your Children/Family members to site straight below the Cable.

    4.Keep Smalll plants like Crotens/Neem Trees/any others tress Straight below the Cable. If any thing happend, Tress are low Electrical conductvity.

    5. Keep Cable Tray/Wire mesh Straight below the Cable.So that If any cut off off cable or fire brokout from cable.

    6.Take Care about TV/Refrigerator/AC/Cooler and be sure to fit Voltage Stabiliser.

    7. When you go out House or on Tour Switch off your Main Switch. Disconnect Electrical over & other Ites.

    Do not affraid I am telling my Experiance which I saw before 10 Years Back in Baroda.

  6. Do you mean the cables actually cross your property?  If so, you could be entitled to a "wayleave" payment, unless it has already been agreed in the past that one is not required. Consult a solicitor, armed with your deeds. And don't expect to get rich on any such payment.

  7. You won't win.

    'steal' their electricity with an inductance transformer placed under their power lines ( This is a transformer whose primary windings are connected to a loop antenna under the power lines and converted to household voltage through the secondary windings.) And they can do nothing about it if the transformer is on your land.
