Highchair and crib questions!!! ?

hello everyone!!! I'm 6 1/2 months along with my first baby and my husband and myself are trying to get our registry together. Well TRYING is the word for it!!! I am registered at babiesrus and have been trying to find a good high chair and crib. My problem is I want a highchair that is easily entertaining for baby and safe. I was looking at the Evenflo Majestic Highchair that comes with 2 or 3 of those lock in toys, but I've been reading and I see a lot of negatives about it. Now like I said this is our first and we would like to have 3 or 4 children so I want something that will last. I was also looking at the Chicco Polly highchair but it looks kind of hard to clean. Anyone with any advice/suggestions whatever please fill me in! Now... to the crib... again 3 or 4 children in mind but on the flip side I'm only 5" so a lot of those 4-in-1 cribs won't work well for me because the sides don't go down. I am open to a crib from anywhere (not just babiesrus) so again any suggestions or advice please please please! Thank you all so much and good luck with your own little ones!

  1. if you want a high chair that looks good and will last all of your children then stokke tripp trapp high chair is really good. my sister had one for ages and it grows with the child and it looks really good too. the baby sits at the table (so doesn't have it's own tray) and you can get separate high chair toys rather than one that comes with the high chair.

it costs a bit but it does last. you can get different colours and you can also get extra padding for a young/small baby.

  2. I liked the Graco highchair. It was very easy to clean. 2 kids later it looks brand new! I got my crib from a family member..

  3. I looked at a ton of highchairs for my son, and the one I liked the best was the Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair. It is available from babies r us and I love it because it straps on to any chair so that baby is the same height as everyone else at the dinner table. Not to mention, we go to a lot of family parties at different family members so instead of having to figure out how to cart around a huge highchair, we just throw this on into the trunk and we are all set. It is sooo convenient. As for a crib, I used a bassinet for the first few months. I loved my PORTER 4 IN 1 BASSINET. Unfortunately its not available any longer. My sister in law recommended hers though. It is the Cuddle 'N Care Rocking Bassinet with Light Vibes Mobile . It was perfect because the height is adjustable, it has a great storage space underneath,  music, lights, mobile and vibration .  After about 4 months though both my SIL and  I needed a crib. I ended up with a hand me down crib but my sister in law swears by her Storkcraft Chelsea Stages 4-in-1 Crib - Cherry. It is great because it goes from a crib to a toddler bed to a day bed to a full size bed. I included links to the web pages for all three items. Congrats.

  4. i am 5'2 and had the same issue with the crib. i got a set from walmart that has a matching changing table and dresser all for about 300$. it has a drop down side which is nice and is is a 3 in one i believe.

i love it. its sturdy and safe.

as for a high chair: i went with a  graco store and go. its nice and light.

this is the one we got, not the cutest, but a lot of reviewers said it was easy to clean....

have u went 2 the store and looked at the conv cribs?

i have one, i am a lil taller than u but mine is quite low for me, i usually rest on the front side as i have back probs...u may find that they r short enough 4 u without the drop side

this is the one i have except the color; i have it in espresso, and i love it; it comes in several colors and i bought the whole matching set, and i love it...i get lots of compliments on it...maybe go in and try the height out....our store has a million set up where u can check them out....i have never liked the look of the older style dropsides, although they do have one that matches the same set above...

another thought, have u googled conv with a dropsides?

they may make them bc there are a lot of ppl who r small and the conv style is very popular now...gl

  6. When pregnant with my 1st, I got a Jenny Lind crib, changing table, cradle, high chair, and child size rocker.  I only spent $400 on all of those and it was the best money spent.  6 years later I'm using all of it with my 3rd child.

The Jenny lind Crib is a 3 in 1, you just have to buy a conversion kit when ready to change it to a toddler bed, if you choose to.  To find one you can check out Million Dollar Baby in their 3 in 1 cribs.

  7. I have this crib http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp...

I love it and have no compaints. This was the crib I chose after my first crib was recalled, and I LOVE this crib, Im glad I had the oppurtunity to get it. When I read the reviews, I am surprised. I havent had any problems. But the crib is currently up on the highest setting, so I dont lower the drop side. I have a couple times, I guess time will tell if it gives me problems.

It is such a beautiful crib, it has wonderful woodwork that you cant see in the picture. The picture really makes it look pretty drab.

ANd this crib changes to a toddler bed.My first crib was a 4in1 but i opted against it, because I KNOW I will be sick of it by then lol
