Higher english reflective writing exercise?

i have to do a higher english essay which reflects on past times and how it has made me the person i am today it is due on fri and i really need to impress im reflecting on when i was in hospital as a child and i made a friend who was not so well off and didn't have all the toys and games that the other children had and he was looked down upon by the other children. at the time i didn't realise the difference between social classes however noe i do and want to explain ho it has made me appreciate what i have(not extremely well off but not struggling neither) when i was in hospital i gave the boy my old (working) tv and games console so that he wasn't left out. anybody got any advice on anything really? how to set the scene, reflective/descriptive words to include?

  1. Reflections of the past.

    It is rather remarkable -- I was born -- then elevated to eighteen-years on earth. So who am I now? Such questions tend to throw me. Perhaps I am more motivated to unfathom the unmemorable past? In any event, a future of finer importance is more remarkable.

    To de-construct  my past and childhood, is the opportunity to self-reflect. Reflect on what and which bits? My childhood was straightforward. It was never this problematic. There were joyous and jubilent moments. Plausibly, several of social importance.
