Have the fuel prices had an effect on fewer speeding tickets??? I have spoken to quite a few people who say that not only have they slowed down to avoid speeding tickets...They are actually getting 50 more miles out of the gas tank

  1. i know for a fact it has cut down in speeding in our home town we live next to a cop and he says his ticket writing is way down, mainly because there's not as many people out going like they use to be,the only ones he mainly gets now are the ones that are running late for work or something, and he usually just warns them, our town use to be real crowded when you went in to town now sometimes its like a ghost town, very few people out driving around, they cant afford it like they could before, and driving slower will help on gas,in a way this high gas price has made some people wake up and try to help save on gas, good luck.

  2. it might help 'cause the people won't want to waste extra fuel.

  3. yeah if they are burning out at every stop light. 50 seems a little steep
