Is there a higher puchasing power partity in Canada, Ireland, England, Scotland or Wales? In which country do you think people have more money to spend and their money goes further?

  2. Well, Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales all use the same currency (the pound sterling) and face the same inflation rate. Thus I doubt the purchasing power varies noticeably between countries. However, Canada uses the Canadian Dollar. Based on the Big Mac index for 2007 (one way of measuring PPP) the Canadian dollar had a greater purchasing power than the pound sterling.
