Does anyone know anywhere where I can get a savings account with a higher interest rate of 3.75%? wamu is giving this provided you have a checking account with them already and you sign up online. Also, no monthly/anual fees like citibank.

  1. I-bonds are paying 4.84% now, but you can't touch those for at least one year.  I-bonds are also tax-deferred for up to 30 years.  They have two interest rates, a fixed one for 30 years and an inflation adjustment every six months.  For example, people who purchased these bonds in 1998 are making now over 8% with the combined rate.  www.treasurydirect.gov

  2. i believe 33/4% will be hard to beat!!!
