Highest level of math for anthropology??

what's the highest level of math needed to pursue a major in anthropolgy??? in high school i went up to AP Calculus AB.

  1. i don't think any real math is required, its not like physics but basic concepts like exponential growth might be needed.


  2. Oh, jeez, you'll be just fine.  I've never used more than basic algebra and geometry in the field, and that only because us archaeologists are obsessed with nice square holes and pretty maps.  As long as you have a basic familiarity with math and science, you'll be okay.

  3. For a BA in anthropology all you'll need is Algebra. Math related courses might include statistics and economics. But those only require an understanding of Algebra at most.

  4. Depends. if you want to go into things like measuring skulls or DNA population analysis, pretty good maths is required, with some statistics.

    Cultural anthropology won't be so maths heavy. Depends which way you go.
