Question:

Highest snooker score?

Apparently the highest possible score is 155. I think it could be 162. It is technically possible for a player to foul on the black ball, conceeding 7 points, and snookering the opponent so they have a free ball. The player could then play any ball as a red, then pot the black, which is another 8 points. At this stage all 15 reds are still on the table, and the allowing them to potentially clear the table for a further 147. That totals 162 with the opposing player only visiting once at the table. So, shouldn't the highest score possible with ONE visit to the table be 162??

  1. You're on to something here but apparently points awarded as fouls do not count as part of the break. Therefore you cannot add the fouled black i.e. 7 points as part of the break. So the maximum is still 155.
