Highfire Jack looking good in the Grade IR Bags/Sis Easter Bunny Sprint Heat 2 at Perry Barr
Entering as a favourite, Highfire Jack is highly favoured in the Grade IR Bags/Sis Easter Bunny Sprint Heat 2 which will take place at Perry Barr on 20th March, 2012. The race will be run over a distance of 275 metres, with
the purse of £200.
Highfire Jack will be going against Dangerous Goods, Autumn Attraction, Magical Phanter, Rush Of Blood, and Daisyfield Glory.
The son of Balintore Brave, out of Speed Indeed, is gaining popularity on the basis of his familiarity with the track. He has raced at Perry Barr for his entire career with the exception of two races which took place at Nottingham.
Trained by S. Ralph, the hound has shown improvement along with consistency. He finished in second place twice in his last two races. Ralph is hoping that he will be able to break out of this consistency in this race and secure a win.
He was defeated by race favourite, Shaban Black, in the Grade A1 480m flat race at Perry Barr on 27th January, 2012 by 2 ¼ lengths. Shaban Black’s winning time was 28.76 seconds, where as Highfire Jack finished in 28.94 seconds.
He finished as the runner-up again at Perry Barr on 5th March, 2012, at about 275 metres. He was beaten by, Beepers Bullet, by a mere length in 16.20 seconds.
In this race, all expectations are pinned on him as he is entering the race with the odds of 11 to 4.
Rush Of Blood trained by S. Newberry is looking in good shape. He finished in third place in the 275m race on 5th March, 2012 at Perry Barr. With the odds of 5 to 1, it is speculated that he will perform well.
The son of Droopys Kewell, out of Castleboro Katie,  ended 2011 in an impressive manner as he bagged a victory in the Grade A2 Sandwell Valley Riding Centre Stakes at Perry Barr on 26th December, 2011, where he defeated race
favourite, Grog The Mick, by 2 ¾ lengths in 28.68 seconds.
He finished fourth in the Grade A1 480m flat race at Perry Barr on 3rd January, 2012, which was a slight disappointment for his trainer.
Daisyfield Glory, the son of Tyrur Ted, out of Toumpane Bella, is stirring some interest from the punters. He triumphed at Perry Barr on 11th March, 2012 in the Grade A3 480m flat race. Being race favourite, he delighted his
trainer G. Hodson, as he defeated Haughty Bell by 2 lengths in 28.97 seconds.
The bettors expect Highfire Jack to take the lead in this race as he is entering with the best odds. The second place is likely to be acquired by Daisyfield Glory where as Rush Of Blood might secure a finish in third place.
