Highlights for the first time???

k so im getting highlights on friday for the first time but they will be barely noticable and only needed to be redone every six months will this ruin my hair and/or how can i prevent them from ruining my hair

I just got my first highlights done 2 months ago, and I have to get them touched up. Anyways they don't really dry out your hair but if you don't already you should use a conditioner. If you plan to go swimming make sure you wash your hair so the chlorine doesn't turn the highlights a weird color. Oh and bring a book when you get them done!
