Highschool Soccer Style?

Question

ok well i am going to be a freshman in highschool and uh... well i dont mean to be cocky or anything but i am going to be on the varsity team of a 5a school. and i was thinking.. i kinda want a style that like will only be my own.? like should i wear like super high socks or like short shorts or what?? cuase like i want to be something thats like kinda goofy but kinda cool. like people will be like man that stuff is weird but that kid is good so that must be cool you know?? well pelase help!!

I think you should tie dye all of your socks, or shorts.  

They might not want you to do like those things for the game though, cause of the uniform thing, you know......

Well, you might not like this answer, but here goes....

get over yourself!!  There is always someone better than you, so don't try to act like you are the best and try to stand out as a goofy person.  It's going to make you look ridiculous, especially to the older guys on the team.  So, I would suggest just trying to play your best and keep up your game to earn the respect of the team through a good and valid means, not by being silly and showing off.  Because in the long run, if you act stupid or really different just to be noticed, you won't gain respect, but just gain snickers and being known as an oddity.  I would hope that you have more respect for yourself and want to be known as a good player rather than someone who always "went for the laugh".   This is from someone a bit older who looks at "younger" kids who try to be different.  Think about it, because what you do today, and the ideas that people form about you now can last the rest of your life.  I would hope that you don't still want to be known as the "stupidly dressed" kid when you are an adult and out in the "real world", do you?  You don't need to be a "class clown" to gain attention.  That's getting attention for the wrong reasons.  Make a smart choice.

Well players already wear high socks, henry for one, and the old South American style short socks are cool. anythin can be goofy and cool. Like the Cuban 110m hurdler, Robles wears glasses that look like normal reading glasses instead of fancy ones. For me, i have some rituals on the football field. I always wear my crucifix and chain unless the referee sees it and tells me to take it off. I always wear my left sleeve rolled up to about my elbow, i think thats kinda cool, team photos are funny when it shows me wearing one up and one down. What you thinkin?

You are asking some really bad questions.  

I coach one of the most successful soccer teams in Florida and if I had a freshman worrying about his style and not worrying instead about what he should be doing to make his team more successful you'd be riding the bench worrying about your socks for 90 minutes every match.

Read your states, and I assume you are in Florida, rules about the wearing of uniforms and what's allowed and not allowed.
