Highschool Volleyball...?

Ok, I have a few questions..

1. I was on the freshman team and was wondering if you have to tryout again to make the team.

2. Do you have to have a new physical every year you join a sport? Or can you use the one from a previous year?

3. My friend wants to make the sophmore/JV team but she wasnt on the freshman team. I'm pretty sure everyone on the freshman team last year wants to join this year too, so does she even have a chance?

Thank you very much!!

  1. 1. Yes, you do. Even though at my school anyone who makes the team the first year, automatically makes it again the next, you still have to attend and participate in tryouts.

    2. Yes. I thought this to. But all physicals expire after exactly a year. But if you get a sports physical this month, play volleyball and then play another sport, you will not need one for that new sport. But you MUST be cleared by getting a new physical the beginning of a season, you cannot use the one you had a year before.

    3. Of course she does. A lot of people on my team didn't play last year and tried out, (and made it). How fair would that be to only let the previous players play? She has a very good chance if she is interested in playing!

Hope this answered all of your questions. Have fun in volleyball this season! :)
