  1. If your good enough to make the team thats great, If not try bribery. or hitting the batting cages and the gym. Good luck

  2. Every coach looks for consistency. As long as you can throw, field and hit a baseball, you'll be sure to make the team. Your work ethic reflects your attitude. Don't complain, always do as your told and most of all have fun. In batting all you need to do is pay close attention and never take your eyes off of the ball. If you are focused, dedicated and have an ounce of athletic ability, making any baseball team shouldn't be too hard.

  3. I think you should just focus on getting a hit. If your coach is just looking for power he is a really bad coach.

  4. They are looking for players that make contact. You don't have to have power, if that's not your game then you need to be able to set the table. Be the guy who gets on base. Learn to bunt, get good command of the strike zone. Walks are as good as hits.

As for attitude. Never talk back to a coach. Don't throw any tantrums. They want someone that will listen. If you happen to play bad, don't show frustration. They would rather work with a kid with a good atitude than a bad one.

  5. you know what i was in your same place when i played in high school.i was the catcher and i was pretty d**n good anyone that tried to steal from wouldn't make it to the base..anyways at one point i was in a slump, and i couldn't figure what i was doing wrong.so i went to the coach and asked him personally to tell me or help me.my attitude changed completely and i got so much better.the coaches don't want attitude they are  there to COACH you.

but i found that power comes from the lower portion of your body.its all in your hips and legs.you can not just use your arms.also keep your head down.....when you start your stance keep your chin on your shoulder and when you end your swing your chin should end up on your other shoulder.i learned that every time you swing and miss you are not keeping your eyes on the ball.hints the expresion "keep your eye on the ball"

thats just some things i remember from when i played a few years back.

never let your attitude get in the way of the sport you love because you will not get far.it will not hurt to ask for help.
