  1. Practice makes perfect.

Ask the coach for some pointers.

  2. Videoing will help but only if you do it from the back or if the person demonstrating does it the opposite way in the front, otherwise it will actually confuse you as to which arm to move. See if you can get friends from the team to get together with you and practice.

You will pick them up eventually. Just keep trying. :^)

  3. Its tough in your first year of HS to learn every little thing when half the group knows it.

If you aren't already try counting 8 counts, makes things easier to remember.  Go words first then motions..

Just keep plugging away.  They wouldn't have chosen you if you didn't have the ability and you wouldn't have tried out if you weren't interested.

Get another squad member to help you out on off time.  Or talk to the coach thats what they are there for...

  4. Just becuase your friend quit, doesnt mean you should!.

if your having a problem learning the sideline cheers, simply ask someone who knows them.

Try finding friends on the team, rather than just following in a quitters footsteps,

Pay speical attention at pratice and ask the coaches for help.

Dont by shy, if you dont understand sonething, Trust me, they rather see a cheerleader seek for help, than look a mess on the fields!
