Highschool golf ?

Question

i was just wondering, how many people are usually on a golf team and how does it work. I hear that the players are listed by how good they are, but what happens if you are the worst on the team do you play at all or just watch?

For the school's team there can be as many as the coach wants (I've only seen 12-15 max on a full team). The top five players are ranked (meaning if you're #1 you are the best on the team) on the A team (Varsity), next five the B team (JV) and so on. At tournaments whatever team plays in it only the top 4 scores would be counted towards the team's score and sometimes if it was a Varsity tourney your coach could bring some JVs to compete individually.

Basically depending on how big the overall team is if you're the worst you should at least get to play one or two tournament individually or on the JV team. Coaches rarely bring players to watch unless it's a local tournament or one the team is hosting.

my coach only kept 6 this year because he said if we added anymore guys to the team our team chemistry wouldnt be as good

all 6 of us had been on varsity for 2 years and all our seniors had graduated

ur ranked #1- howeva many are on the team and most of the time the top 6 play in matches  and top 4 or 5 in tournaments

the ppl who dont play in matches normally play behind the match so ur still playin ur scores just dont count
