Highschool tennis tryouts?

i am one of 5 or 6 girls that could be on the varsity team. do you have any tips for me on how to stand out from the rest??! i really want to make varsity. thanks <3

we dont even have tryouts at our school

anyone can join no matter how bad we are

anyways

just be very outgoing i guess

and always have positve energy

be very strategic

watch how your opponents play and learn their strengths and weaknesses

be very supportive of others

and yea

oh

and of course... DONT FORGET TO HAVE FUN

I have tennis tryouts tomorrow morning 8 am until 10.. this will be my 2nd year on varsity. You need to go in it, to win it, seriously. People who have negative attitudes in tennis get negative results. You want to be confident, not cocky. Be smart about the game, too. When you&#039;re playing, have a strategy.. For example, if you and your opponent keep hitting cross-court shots, change it up and hit it down the line when they&#039;re not expecting it. If your opponent is at the net, be sure to lob it over their head!

Also, be personable and approachable.. If you want the coaches to notice you, don&#039;t be quiet and shy. Try talking to them. If they&#039;re watching other people play while you&#039;re not in a game, if another player makes a nice shot, be sure to congratulate them. This will show the coaches that you&#039;re a real team player.

And, playing your &quot;a game&quot; couldn&#039;t hurt.. =] good luck girl !
