  1. relax... all you need to do is be yourself. don't try  to fit in just so other would like you. when you get to high school the teachers and ur counselor will give you pointers on ur daily schedule. just make sure u have all ur books, and supplies and get to class on time everyday. study and participate in class. join an extra-curricular activity and u should be allright.

  2. I applaud  the ideas of most here.  Most are positive, which is helpful.  Do NOT worry about the negative ones, the worst virtually never happens.

Talk NOW with you school counselor on your options.

There are home-schooling options, there are private schools, there are more church-related schools (Protestant schools are NOT sinful), there are trade schools, there are supplemental public school courses to take after school, lots of potentials, but talk to your counselor and line up what you can do, decide on a course that seems best to you and your family, and go that way.

My kids went through public schools, home-schooling, a church-related private school, and back to public schools in another area, and came out well-educated!

Be careful not to listen to your peers too much on what you can't do, etc...that can be fatal to you in later life.  Don't buy the line that the world is going to end, either, and effectively drop out.  That is a wonderful way to ruin you life forever.  So is any messing with drugs at all, or running with gangs who do or who break the laws or scorn education.

You do NOT have to have all the smarts, but learn how to do the best with what you have; I think the fact you ARE thinking ahead says you got more smarts than you credit yourself with.

Get help and direction from those trained to do it, reach for the heights, avoid discouragement, and you will make a good,  educated, successful life for yourself.  You are not stupid, and you CAN do it.

Now, get busy, overcome the fears and jeers, and DO do it.

  3. Depends on what your goals are.  If it's college then you need all the math they offer, all the science the offer, all the history they offer.  Maybe a foreign lanuage.

If college is not a goal, I'd take practical things.  Business courses, shop courses if they offer them, arts and crafts courses, some math, more enlgish, Earth Science, computers, music, drama.  School newspaper or year book.

Get an idea of what's out there and what you like.

  4. My son says....

"Go immediately to the school counselor and do what they say! Listen, all the kids at school say that our school counselors are for losers and I stayed away from her all the way till I saw a straight "A" student leaving her office. So I swallowed my pride and walked in. She figured out the problems I was having, came up with a solution that even "I" could do and now instead of getting low "C's" and not having a clue, I'm getting solid "B's", and what's best, I understand what's going on!!! If I got low "C's" and still understood what was going on it still would have been worth it!"

My kid likes to look over my shoulder when I go on this site, and he's really good at advice. He saw your question and made me answer it. I would go with his recommendation, I mean, what can it hurt?

  5. I would think that your high school is pre-chosen for you based on the area that you live in.  You might want to look into that.  Also, you should ask your friends where they are going for high school.  Sticking with friends will make the transition easier.

  6. Help as in what high school to go to? Or what your actually gonna be learning in high school?

  7. Push through Maths and English and do all the other classes you enjoy.

  8. well, your in middle school now?

I started h.s this year, and i was nervous,

but its the same as middle school just different people and different setting. don't worry about it. its only November, and you got till next september!
