Hightlighting help?!?

Highlighting dark brown almost black hair I'm thinking about carmel highlights but I don't know what do you think if not this than what color?

if i were yuuh id go with like a strawberry blonde highlight

and get them really tiny and frequent.

my mom is a hair dresser and says that would look nice..

or maybe a really light brown or red.
