The Sydney Sixers defeated the Highveld Lions in the 2012 Champions League T20 finale, played at the New Wanderers stadium, Johannesburg, on October 28, 2012
A highly anticipated finale, with both sides coming in at the back of unbeaten streaks in the tournament, was completely dominated by the Australian domestic side, making short work of the local heroes after putting them into bat first. While the Lions were able to shock and surprise throughout the tournament, expecting the same one more time was perhaps too much to ask.
