Highview Echo tipped to win the Shelbourne A1 525
Highview Echo is likely to prevail in the Shelbourne A1 525 at Shelbourne Park in Ireland on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. The winning greyhound will walk away with a cash prize of €450 in the end.
A total of six quality runners have lined up for the Grade A1 event, which is scheduled to start at 21:45 GMT, and their names are: Highview Echo, Tyrur Skippy, Paradise Siesta, Blackhall Dee, Aussie Vintage and Ballymoney Ashe.
The bookmakers have full confidence in Highview Echo’s abilities, as she has been performing consistently over the past few months. However, victories have dried up for her, which might discourage the bettors from risking money in favour of her victory.
Merriman’s trained runner has been racing consistently in this class, thus she has plenty of experience. Her last five outings were good, as she produced decent results in all of them, but failed to win even once.
In her most recent appearance, Highview Echo entered with a good starting price of 3 to 1, but failed to deliver the expected result. She finished fourth overall and was unable to challenge the top three runners.
The black b***h, favourite to win today, is the daughter of Crash out of Highview Seeker and was born in April 2010.
Tyrur Skippy, trained by Fahy, will also be the one to watch out for, as he has the speed and skills to match the rest of the runners. He has been taking part in different events at Shelbourne Park and has done well at the venue. His last victory here
came in March, this year, which suggests that he is in good rhythm at the moment.
The black dog was not the favourite to win that time around, but he dominated the proceedings. However, his form dipped after that, thus the bookmakers have not given him the best odds for today’s race.
Tyrur Skippy is the son of Brett Lee out of Tyrur Lisa and was born in August 2010.
Other than the top two favourites, Paradise Siesta might also manage to fight at the top of the order. She is in good form, but it will be a big test for her to deliver in this class. She will need a clean run in order to finish at the top.
Blackhall Dee, Aussie Vintage and Ballymoney Ashe do not really seem to be in good touch and will find it hard to cause problems for the top three runners.
