  1. The most simple solution to your probliem is Spybot-Search&Destroy. Install it, update its definitions and run a scan. It scans for adwares, spywares, trojans and malwares. This is a freeware and scans for 1,00,000 infections and also protects your system from future threat. If this doesn't solve the problem, run a scan in safe mode of the computer. This would really solve it. After the infection is removed try updating IE.

  2. Does the punctuation work on your keyboard?  How about the shift key?  Any expert is going to quit reading three lines in just because of the way you wrote your question.

How did you come to the conclusion that your IE was hijacked?  "i need to know how to fix it because right now it says cannot display page and i know for sure it got hijacked" doesn't explain it very well.  The MSN browser is built on IE, therefore a hijacking of IE would also hijack MSN.

BTW IE 6 or 7?  XP or Vista?  Intel or AMD?  Any real details about the problem?  Did you do a diagnostic from the error page to see if it was connected to the internet properly?

You have not provided enough information to resolve your issue.

  3. Try uninstalling the "web search" and tell us the name of that web search.
