Hilali favourite for Gold Reserves Jewellery Roadshow Juvenile Hurdle
Hilali is likely to prevail in the Gold Reserves Jewellery Roadshow Juvenile Hurdle at Ffos Las in England on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will be awarded a cash prize of £2,599.
The going will be good in the 2 mile race, which is scheduled to start at 14:30 GMT, and a total of 13 runners have been attracted towards it. Their names are as follows: Fine Resolve, All Nighter, Grand Gold, Hilali, Midnight Sequel, King´s Wharf, Bajan
Hero, Dougie Boy, Enjoying, Can Do Les, Choisirez, Elavssom and Kings Apollo.
Looking at the recent form of Hilali, it appears that he will walk away with a comfortable victory today. Although he lacks experience, he has the skills to match the best in the business at this level. He will definitely attract a lot of bets from the punters,
who will be looking forward to win some easy money at the end of the day.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in three races until now, but has never managed to win until now. However, his performances in them have not been bad at all, which suggest that he will give a tough time to his rivals at Ffos Las.
The Gary Brown’s trainee started his career with a solid runner up position by just a nose distance. He impressed one and all with his speed, but there was a question mark over his skills in the longer distance events.
When Hilali took part in a longer race, he was unable to make an impression and finished ninth overall. This suggested that he was not suited to this version, but he proved everyone wrong by making a comeback in his most recent run, finishing runner up in
it.
Another positive thing for Hilali will be his rider, A. P. McCoy, who is one of the best in the business. The veteran jockey is nearing 500 victories over hurdles and has got an excellent strike rate.
On the other hand, Grand Gold might also manage to challenge his rivals at Ffos Las. He has participated in nine races until now, winning just one of them and finishing runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has also finished third
on a couple of times.
