I'm just curious. I'm a McCain supporter but I would have much preferred to see Hilary as the Democratic candidate instead of Obama.

But now that Palin is on the ticket, would you consider McCain?

Or does Palin have no effect on your choice...?

  1. Do you really think that ALL of Hillary's supporters are that stupid to vote for Palin simply because she's a woman?

Palin is against everything that Hillary has fought her entire life for?

    Palin is pro-life and she's anti-g**s.

Hillary is pro-choice and she believes that g**s have rights too.

But if her supporters want to vote for a woman who will vote AGAINST them, then so be it.

  2. No --- their policies are clearly worlds apart.

  3. I was torn between Clinton and Obama in the primaries, but there is absolutely no way McCain/Palin would get my vote.  Many of her policies go against everything I (and I assume most other Democrats) stand for, and I don't think either one would be a good Commander in Chief.

  4. I wasn't voting for Hillary because she is a woman.  I don't vote because of the s*x of the person, nor because of their religion.  I vote because of their views.

Would black people vote for McCain if he choose a black man as a VP?

You will always get the ignorant people who would.  Hopefully there aren't that many ignorant people....

    Oh Wait, there are....

  5. Surely you jest. She's anti-abortion, anti-g*y marriage, pro-gunznd under investigation for using her office for revenge. If you wanted to gain female votes, she wasn't the one to choose.

  6. as a member of puma McCain already my vote..palin just helped

  7. I am a bi-racial, retired, Democratic female.  I have answered this question repeatedly, but I will happily answer it again.  I did indeed support Hillary Clinton.  I decided to vote for John McCain as soon as it became evident that the Democratic party would run Obama.  McCain's selection of Sarah Palin as VP had nothing at all to do with my decision.

But I think she is a marvelous choice.  She is the "change" Obama promised, and McCain delivered.

  8. NO WAY!!!

Why people think that we women that supported Hillary are going to vote for McCain because of Palin?  Hillary's voters are smarter than that.  Palin + McCain = Bush policies.

Yesterday I saw a focus group conducted by the Republicans, and even some Republicans are not very pleased with the selection of Palin for VP.

  9. NO thanks

  10. Absolutely not!

The only similarity between the two women is their gender.

Hillary is a progressive, presidential woman, and Palin is ...well... was he looking for just ANY woman?! If anything- she's even more conservative than him! The two of them would have us involved in every conflict possible.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again- the GOP had their chance....it turned out badly!

I was not supporting Hillary because she was a woman, I was supporting her because of her platform- her views.

  11. Well I have allways been for McCain but my Wife who liked Hilary is voting for McCain.

  12. not a chance in h**l.

    i wont vote for anti-choice pro-war idiots.

obama isn't a bad second choice IMO. he's worth a shot.

mccain is the same old recipe for disaster that we have had for the past 8 years.

  13. Palin might as well be a nun. Hilary represented women moving forward. Palin is anti everything. We'd get no where with her.

  14. I would.  She's a woman afterall.  Isn't that why people voted for Hillary anyway?

  15. No way no MacCain. Obama 08

  16. I am a McCain supporter.  But I can tell you that several people I know who supported Hillary are happy to see Palin on the ticket.  NOT because she is a woman, but because of her history for shaking things up and making things happen.  Indeed, as someone else here already noted, she IS the change Obama talks about, but has yet to deliver or even justify, for that matter.  I am happy to see so many people moving in that direction.

  17. Some people just voted for Hillary just because she's a woman. Yes, I think she made great process, but her politics are just not worth it for having a woman president
