The former Stuttgart shot-stopper is satisfied with his performance in the Europa League and admitted that the match practice will definitely help him get back to full match fitness as the season unfolds.

Hildebrand claimed that many members of the first-team squad were missing and still the side managed to win comprehensively in an away game. The goalkeeper revealed that the manager wanted him to get some match practice with the
reserve side in order to make his first appearance for Schalke this season.

The German international remained grounded despite saving a penalty in the match. He stated that he will improve in the future games if given a chance and was delighted at keeping a clean sheet.
“You shouldn't read too much into the penalty save. Sometimes you save them and sometimes you don't. We just wanted to keep a clean sheet,” he concluded.
