Hill driving tips?

does anybody know of any sites that provides advise on driving skills?

in particular, driving on twisty hills where most passengers have the tendency to go giddy while sitting at the back of a van..what tips can anyone give to reduce this?

  1. I don't know your locale, but if you're in the States, pick up a Commercial Drivers Manual from the nearest Dept. of Motor Vehicles. It has instructions for operating heavy vehicles as well as a section dedicated to drivers that carry passenger (in buses). Doesn't matter too much what state you're in, the CDL Manuals have to cover the same materials. Good luck.

Take it slow, even if it means pulling off the road for a few moments to let your passengers get their marbles straight...Go easy on the accelerator and the brakes...It's bad enough being thrown side to side around curves, but try not to aggravate the situation with excessive speeding up and slowing down...Before starting out, have those susceptible to queasiness take an anti-motion remedy such as Dramamine.

    Lastly, have some plastic bags handy in case someone can't hold it.
