Hillcroft Champ to outsmart co-favourites in Night Of Stars Open 525 at Shelbourne Park
The bookmakers have shown serious confusion while allotting odds for Thursday’s Night Of Stars Open 525 at Shelbourne Park. They have named four co-favourites: Hillcroft Champ, Bartlemy Rocket, Esker Spain and Oran Forever.
All four hounds are mighty talented, and deserve respect. But the punters are in serious trouble. It is certainly a hard decision to make, because none of the co-favourites can be taken lightly.
If we look at the stats, Hillcroft Champ deserves preference. The white and black dog is performing quite consistently these days. He put his journey on the winning ways on October 12th, when taking the big prize by a length’s distance.
He did not rest on his laurels, and secured another fascinating triumph. Beating Mandys Blossom again, he took the first prize by half a length. After two fantastic victories, he was expected to strike hat-trick, but failed awfully.
It was no more than an unlucky defeat for the big fellow. He ran superbly, but missed the gold only by a length’s distance. The son of Royal Impact is likely to continue his good journey, despite the fact that there will be a lot of pressure on him stepping
up to this class.
The 525 metres event is due to get started at 22:05 GMT. The ultimate champion will bag a handy prize of 500 Euros. Hillcroft Champ is unlikely to face any major threat, as the rest of the pack has plenty of questions to answer.
Bartlemy Rocket showed some improvement last time, when taking the runner-up place. The good effort came after an awful loss at Clonmel, where he completed the order of finish.
Oran Forever finished at bottom of the chart last time. The white and black dog would be short of confidence after facing the shame. Esker Spain ran well alone last time, but this is a different ball game. He is unlikely to do something special.
The Other Silver failed terribly on his promotion to the top level. Similar is the case with Carlows Glory, who could not shine after winning the A3 meeting. We wish all the best to the participants.
