Hillview Boy to maintain good Hamilton record in Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell (Handicap)

Hillview Boy is a bit patchy these days, but has a very good record at Hamilton. The 8-year-old is on a fair mark, and holds solid claims in the Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell (Handicap), taking place on Friday, August 24, 2012.
Jim Goldie has a strong representation in today’s meeting. Out of his four runners, Hillview Boy looks to be the strongest one, as he boasts a fine track record at this venue.
He is 4lb lower than his previous appearance here in May, when he finished second behind Ithoughtitwasover in the William Hill Braveheart Handicap (Listed Race).
Under Graham Lee, the 9-1 chance was unable to make an impression on the winner, but did well to beat the rest of the crew with ease. Owned by Connor & Dunne, the bay and brown gelding did nothing special on last couple of outings.
After collecting plenty of embarrassment at Haydock, the son of Bishop Of Cashel could not get his act together, and ended up ninth at York last month.
Although the John Coleman-bred is currently going through a lean patch, but returning to his favourite track will give him a lot of confidence. So, one should not overlook his chances, when it comes to stake money today.
According to the preset plan, the class 3 meeting is scheduled to begin at 19:05 GMT. On Hamilton’s soft track, fifteen speedy runners will compete for a handsome cash prize worth £15,526.
Assizes has been showing consistent work since the start of this season. However, this is far from easy, as the 3-year-old is high in weights today.
Lexington Bay managed to put his game back on the right track, when seizing the runner-up spot at Nottingham earlier this month. The 4-year-old looked quite solid in the Simply Racing Ltd Handicap, and would be full of confidence following a fine show.
The odds are not in favour of Hillview Boy, but he is in a good position to thrive today. Under Graham Lee, he is expected to do better than he did on his previous visit. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
