  1. 20/20 is  perfect  vision  and  it  is  easy  to  see things perfectly  after the  fact  but  when  you  are  in the  heat  of the  moment  we  sometimes  miss important  details.

looking  back  everyone has  perfect  vision.

    .

its what  you  say  when  someone  accuses you  of  making  a  bad judgement  call.

  2. 20/20 refers to excellent vision that would require no corrections.

Hindsight 20/20 would mean that you look back on a situation and see things clearly. You understand details that you missed when you were in the situation. You may or may not have done things differently, but you can look back with a different perspective.

  3. Hindsight is 20/20 means you see things that you didn't see before that would have changed your reaction.  You can't change the past and will have to deal with the outcome as it is, but if the situation comes up again, you'll know how to deal with it better because of your current experience.

  4. It means that when you look back on an event, you can know exactly what you should have done, because it already happened, so you know the outcome...people generally say it when they regret a choice they have made.
