  1. In Hindu phylosophy Motrher Kali or Mahakali is the energy part of Mahakala or Shiva. Kala means time. For whom life span is over Mahakala takes away the life representing destruction. Kali is the concert of Kala or the energy or chetana.

  2. Vaibhav given a wonderful answer...indeed i m quite surprise the way he has written...i m just try to go further....

Kali is the source eneryl...shiva is Mahakaal...that means shiva is out of time...what i m trying to say he is the out of the boundation of time....Kali just provide enetgy to fight wid the Rakshas...now who are Rakshas...It is in our mind...

Now what does worship means..its nothing but meditation....Ram..krishna they were vishnu's avtaar...but they were human beings....just because they show the enitre world that live like how they live....We need to try follow what they have said...

There is nothing bad to worship kalli...but if u have enough courage or strength to hold that energy other wise inspite of doing good u will use this energy for ur self purpose....

Guru Ramkrishna paramhans was Bhakt of Maha kali..but he reached to Nirvana...( i was totaly disagree wid the vaibhav point) yes there were corruption...but just made by human being...to resolve there self purpose....

There are so many things that needs to be understand...

  4. good morning sister

    great question

    jai maa kali

i want to give you an information regarding mata kali

1 did you notice ever that those who worship kali a lot, they became mentally distrub most of them cut there tounges as sacrifice to godesses kali, there was an 21 years old boy in nepal who cut of his hand, there is even one idiot who sacrifice himself to kali in bengal.

till 18 century everyday a man or male is given as sacrifice to kali.

2 daily so many innocent animals are sacrificed to kali to make her happy,in nepal, india, can you feel the pain of that innocent animals.

3 there was a bengali near our home,he was great kali devotte, one day he do some mistakes in sadhna, now he had became mental,he rome naked here and there on roads.

3 let me give you information about kali from hindu scriptures

kali worship is regarded toughest in hinduism

in kalikapuran lord shiva himself had said" worship kali only when you are virabhava(brave who had not any fear) or divyabhava(divine, totally spritual and a brahamchari) if any third person will do kali sadhna will became mental and will go to h**l"

you can buy kalikapuran and can read this verse sister.

4 let us read what sri Krishna had said about kali worship in gita

    chater 7,shloka no 20

" those who worship demi gods like kali will are bound by material diseres and will remain in circle of life and death, and those who worship real god can only get moksha"

earlier i also started worshiping kali  and my full room is with kali statues, posters,i worship her in night after wearing black dress, but my grand father and many other saints say no to me and said it can be harmful for me,than i leave it,there advice was good.

kali is energy source, power circuit in this universe,it is not a godesses who had 4 hands, tounge out side the mouth that is symbolic.from which tantric get energy, you can read about tantric sadhna, and books on kali sahdna,it is an energy source

you know real vedic religion, worship only one god who is formless and shapeless later on corrupt priests started kali worship and tantric texts were written in puranic kaal, they also started worship of krishna and ram and call them god.

krishna and ram were not god they were great humans beings, you can became like them,to call them god or incarnation of vishnu is there insult, insult of there hard work

according to veda which had supreme authority in hinduism

1 god is formless and shapeless

2 god never take birth on earth

    3 god had no parents

most of the hindu gods and godesses were creation of hindu corrupt preist, for earning money in puranic kaal, idol worship is started in india after birth of buddha.all 18 purans had been corrupted, during mugal empire money is given to hindu priests and they corrupt all hinduism texts,i cant give so much details to you here, you can read history of hindusim and about vedic religion.

these 18 purans like shiva puran, vishnu puran, kalikpuran are just like business mans who call there producd better and insult other person product.they were written by cunning priests to show the supermacy of there group vaishnav, shaive, shakt

1 in vishnu puran it is written

" worship only vishnu, never worship shiva, brahma, vishnu is satoguni, where as shiva and brahama are tomo and rajo guni.

2 one should take about after watching the devotte pf shiva.

2 in shiva puran it is written

" this vishnu is servant of shiva"

" those who worship any other god rather than shiva became inscet in h**l for 1000 kalp"

so sister all of them are corrupted, you can read a book by famous indian reformer dayanand sarswati, about idol worship in india, than you will get all the information

god bless you sister and give you power, beauty and knowledge

all the best for the future

it is my duty to give you this information

i love hinduism,my religion and i always remove misconceptions and false practices in it.it is my dharma,it is greatest religion in the world, but it had been corrupted in many ways

we should never worship kali, krishna, hanumaan we should apply there teachings in our life,i always apply there teachings in my life.

you can also worship them, but we should apply there teachings in our life first,if two brothers worship ram,and fight with each other, than ram will think that he is insulting my teachings and  will never became happy.

    conclusion

as godesses kali kill rakthbeej demon,we should kill ignorance, lazyness and bad habits from us,that is the true meaning of kali worship

    jai mata kali

  5. Om kring Kalikaoi Namaha

The appearance is a book of knowledge to sadhaka which gradually signifies the creation of nature.Detailing as i can ......

    Mother Kali appearance ---

1.Dark skin colour - black is the colour which absorbs all kind of colours., the primitive one, represents the mother of all kind of energies or GUNA. A first step of guna from nirguna Shiva-- towards creation.

    2. Standing on the shiva-   Purana says to stop the destructive nature of kali , shiva lies under her feet and she on the account of shame (stepping over her husband) protrudes the tongue out of her mouth!!

but the fact is ... if Kali be the goddess of kal or time shiva is the mahakal , kal is originated from mahakal.Mahakal is the space and when space and time r interected with each other -- different kinds of energies are created.

    3. The red tongue - Red is the colour of Kulakundalini(U may also observe it in Dhyana)--- and the long tongue represents

Khachari Mudra. It signifies that the Sadhaka who can perform khechari mudra is the perfect one to know the true knowledge of Kali para bidya .

    4. Mala of human heads--- count them !! there r 51 mundas in the form of mala and 1 in the hand. Purana says these r the heads of Raktabeeja demons,,,

Each of the munda or heads r unique -- in colour , shape , some striped in the neck in yellow and red some in blue and red some in blue an yellow --- no one is coloured in the same way. These actually represents 52 alphabets or barna. Now what r alphabets?? -- in short these r frequencies of fixed properties each of them differ in wavelength when pronounciated.

The one head in hand is the main frequency that is OM , which further generated other 51 frequencies with distinguishable pronounciating differentiation.

Here is a link to the Baikhari , Madhyama, Pashanti and Para condition of sound -- makes us think about SHABDABRAMBHAN.

    5. The Kharga -- is used to cut through Tama properties of jibatma.

    6. One hand is in barabhya mudra to make sadhaka more spirited so that he can dare to be wise.

In short --- a spirited sadhaka , who can cut through the tamaguna , and become khachari siddha gradually  by kundalini awakening (not by cutting their tongue) is the MAHASHAKTA (worshipper of KALI) to know the mistery of creation - The black skin then only has a meaning that one has to destroy all the gunas  or to become nirguna to achive NIRGUN PARAMBRAMBHA that is shiva who is covered by

maya of guna or THE MOTHER KALI.

So to achive Nirguna state one has to go through evading guna , which originates from nirguna.

    OM TAT SAT

  6. Kali's attributes are that she destroys ignorance or untruth and reveals to her sons and daughters the nature of reality or truth, that is why she is called our beloved Mother. The flowers represent her sweet and beautiful ways. She is also known as "the dark Goddess" but to those that dance with her she is  "Goddess of Light". *Blissed Be*

  7. Goddess when she has to come with her figure as Kali you have seen  is only to kill the evil to enhilate

  8. Below I found some sites .... and I quoted from one ....

"... In many sources Kali is praised as the highest reality or greatest of all deities. The Nirvana-tantra says the gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva all arise from her like bubbles in the sea, ceaselessly arising and passing away, leaving their original source unchanged. The Niruttara-tantra and the Picchila-tantra declare all of Kali's mantras to be the greatest and the Yogini-tantra, Kamakhya-tantra and the Niruttara-tantra all proclaim Kali vidyas (manifestations of Mahadevi, or "divinity itself"). They declare her to be an essence of her own form (svarupa) of the Mahadevi.

In the Mahanirvana-tantra, Kali is one of the epithets for the primordial sakti, and in one passage Shiva praises her:

At the dissolution of things, it is Kala [Time] Who will devour all, and by reason of this He is called Mahakala [an epithet of Lord Shiva], and since Thou devourest Mahakala Himself, it is Thou who art the Supreme Primordial Kalika. Because Thou devourest Kala, Thou art Kali, the original form of all things, and because Thou art the Origin of and devourest all things Thou art called the Adya [primordial Kali. Resuming after Dissolution Thine own form, dark and formless, Thou alone remainest as One ineffable and inconceivable. Though having a form, yet art Thou formless; though Thyself without beginning, multiform by the power of Maya, Thou art the Beginning of all, Creatrix, Protectress, and Destructress that Thou art.[6]

The figure of Kali conveys death, destruction, fear, and the consuming aspects of reality. As such, she is also a "forbidden thing", or even death itself. In the Pancatattva ritual, the sadhaka boldly seeks to confront Kali, and thereby assimilates and transforms her into a vehicle of salvation. This is clear in the work of the Karpuradi-stotra, a short praise to Kali describing the Pancatattva ritual unto her, performed on cremation grounds. (Samahana-sadhana)

He, O Mahakali who in the cremation-ground, naked, and with disheveled hair, intently meditates upon Thee and recites Thy mantra, and with each recitation makes offering to Thee of a thousand Akanda flowers with seed, becomes without any effort a Lord of the earth. 0 Kali, whoever on Tuesday at midnight, having uttered Thy mantra, makes offering even but once with devotion to Thee of a hair of his Sakti [his female companion] in the cremation-ground, becomes a great poet, a Lord of the earth, and ever goes mounted upon an elephant.

The Karpuradi-stotra clearly indicates that Kali is more than a terrible, vicious, slayer of demons who serves Durga or Shiva. Here, she is identified as the supreme mistress of the universe, associated with the five elements. In union with Lord Shiva, who is said to be her spouse, she creates and destroys worlds. Her appearance also takes a different turn, befitting her role as ruler of the world and object of meditation.  In contrast to her terrible aspects, she takes on hints of a more benign dimension. She is described as young and beautiful, has a gentle smile, and makes gestures with her two right hands to dispel any fear and offer boons. The more positive features exposed offer the distillation of divine wrath into a goddess of salvation, who rids the sadhaka of fear. Here, Kali appears as a symbol of triumph over death."

  9. Kaali...

Her face represents the nature of a mother. Even though her face is filled with anger, yet you can see subtle feeling of care for her children in her face. This is her nature of Dayaa.

Her tongue which is rolled out  shows that she takes away sense pleasures from her children....

The garland of heads on her neck symbolizes that she is destroyer of evil qualities in human beings.

Her overflown hair symbolizes that she does not care for herself, for only cares for her children.

She keeps one feet on Shiva and other on ground, this symbolizes that although she is the Shakti who is this world, yet she is the way out of this world.

She does not wear clothes, this means that she is nirguna Brahman...

This is what my small mind can grasp, please excuse me if I said anything wrong...
