Hint Of Mint to do trainer, Andrew Balding proud by maintaining the success rate at Chepstow through the Morgan Cole Handicap
Getting a 6 to 1 leverage in the Class 5 Morgan Cole Handicap is the Andrew Balding trained, Hint Of Mint.
His odds are backed up by the success rate that the trainer has enjoyed at Chepstow. The mile and fourteen yard race has attracted seven other contestants, who will race for the £2,264 prize money on Wednesday, 4th July.
Passing Glance’s three-year-old bay gelding, out of mare Juno Mint, has remained winless through the five career outings. Out of those, only one was at Chepstow and that too during the previous season.
Andrew Balding conditioned ended third in the Weatherbys Private Banking Maiden Stakes on 24th August, 2011, at Chepstow over a mile. Breaking the maiden was the favourite of the race, Cavaleiro.
The three-year-old then qualified as the runner-up in the Greene King IPA Conditions Stakes on 25th September, 2011 at Epsom over 1 1/2 furlongs.
Mister Music, the favourite entry of the race, won while Hint Of Mint had to struggle rigorously for managing even the second spot.
During the race, his pace dropped down so low that he had to show an amazing turn of foot to finish second. His effort however could not pose any challenge for the winner.
The two races that the Mrs.Sandie Newton owned was part of, culminated into sixth ranking.
The trainer has struck a hat-trick at the race course recently by winning the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Maiden Stakes on 25th June, 2012 at Chepstow over a mile. He had entered, Hallings Comet, who won by a massive margin of ten lengths.
On the same date, 25th June, the proud trainer won the Freebets.Co.UK Free Mobile Betting Classified Stakes with, Viscount Vert.
Third success in a row, the favourite of the Freebets.Co.Uk Handicap, Rocky Reef, took control of the final seven lengths.
The contestants of the race are only fairly in form, which leaves Hint Of Mint with no excuse for missing the chance and failing yet again to post a victory.
