Hinterland to find new beginning in the Gain Horse Feeds Novices’ Chase
It is difficult for an entry to miss a chase when lined-up with the trainer-jockey team of Pal Nicholls and rider, Ruby Walsh. The two have celebrated the exceptional partnership since quite a while now. The famous trainer of Kauto Star, has entered Hinterland in the Class 2 Gain Horse Feeds Novices’ Chase at Exeter over two miles, a furlong and 110 yards on Tuesday, 6th November.
The good to soft surface will be thundered upon by five contenders who are four-year-old and above. The jockey for four-year-old bay gelding, Hinterland, Ruby Walsh has a 31% winning rate when racing at Exeter.
Today will be a fifth time that Hinterland will race in the capable hands of the much accomplished jockey. The French bay gelding had his very recent start with the same rider, and the two were dominant over it.
The 4 to 9 entry for the race has been active thrice ever since the new season shot in.
Poliglote’s bay gelding kick started the season with a third position in the Stellar Football “End Of Transfer Window” Handicap Hurdle on 28th January, 2012 at Cheltenham over two miles and a furlong.
The favourite entry was beat to the third position by the winner, Module.
One of his highly acknowledged accomplishments in the previous season was the winner’s title in the Grade 2 JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial on 12th November, 2011 at Cheltenham over two miles and half a furlong.
As for now, the four-year-old out of, Queen Place, is backed by the impressive success in the Get Straight To The Bet at bluesq.com Hurdle on 13th October, 2012 at Chepstow over two miles and half a furlong.
He won as the evening’s favourite, and defeated Red Riverman by seven lengths.
"Hinterland will go over fences and we're looking forward to it," said Nicholls.
"It's a nice track for him to start off and he's schooled well”.
"He was bought as a chaser, really, so the fact that he was able to win a decent race or two over hurdles was a bonus."
The distance, the jockey, the ground conditions, and the determined performance in the recent outing leaves little if any excuse for Hinterland coming out unsuccessful.
