Hinton Admiral dominant in the Lingfield Marriott Hotel & Country Club Claiming Stakes at Lingfield
The Class 6 Lingfield Marriott Hotel & Country Club Claiming Stakes are to be hosted by Lingfield over seven furlongs on Wednesday, 4th April. The race that has set the purse worth £1, 704 has attracted a lineup of four three-year and older thoroughbreds
for the race.
The most accomplished among the lineup is Hinton Admiral, Spectrum’s eight-year-old bay gelding out of mare Shawanni, as he has already bagged five races out of the thirteen starts that he made at Lingfield through the racing career.
Just during the new season Hinton Admiral has raced seven times already out of which he has claimed three starts. Only one victory was at Lingfield while the last two times that he raced, turned out to be second positions at Lingfield.
Hinton Admiral was the 5/4 favourite winner in the Blue Square Winter Carnival Iphone App Selling Stakes on 13th January over seven furlongs. Hinton Admiral was paired up with Joe Fanning and the two deceived the closing in runner up, Alhaban,
by a mere neck’s difference.
Settling with the third place in the race behind the winner was Eastern Gift.
His third start of the season and the second at Lingfield in the Lingfieldpark.Co.UK Claiming Stakes on 20th January over six furlongs saw Hinton Admiral, the 4/6 favourite, qualifying as the runner up.
The race was won by Drawnfromthepast who was ahead only by a neck’s margin. Coming at terms with the third position was My Lord.
Hinton Admiral then won two races at Wolverhampton. Both the races were over six furlongs which is not a lot less than the distance that he has to cover today.
On 5th March, Hinton Admiral scored second in the Summer Evenings At Lingfield Park Claiming Stakes at Lingfield over six furlongs and yet again had finished the race right next to Drawnfromthepast. This time the two raced as the 13/8 joint favourites.
His most recent second position was in the Marriott Play & Stay Claiming Stakes on 23rd March at Lingfield over six furlongs. The winner of the race was Captain Dimitrios, leading the 7/4 joint favourite runner up, Hinton Admiral, by ¾ of a length.
His experience of not only racing, but winning at Lingfield too renders him as the most promising entry for the race today.
