Hip pain radiating down leg when standing.?

What could cause sharp hip pain radiating down leg when standing, ok sitting and walking just when standing in one spot. The pain is so bad I have to move or sit down.

  1. Could be a pinched nerve/sciatica or herniated disc. If you're diabetic perhaps it's neuropathy. Have it checked out. Pain is not normal.


  2. It could be sciatica, meaning that your sciatic nerve is being pinched. This is very painful and could last for weeks. You usually have back pain with this too. Time to see the doctor.

  3. sounds like a pinched nerve that is only pinching when you stand due to the pressure that is being placed on it. try lying down with a pillow or two under you legs ice bags are great too!

  4. Your back may be out of line I would go to the chiropactor

  5. it could actually be a pinched nerve in your back. i would go get it checked out by either a neuro surgeon or an orthopedic doctor.

  6. It's called sciatica.  Research it and read about the signs and symptoms.
