Hippie Era? Peace, Love and Happiness

Are we entering new hippie era? It seems like it...and i love it :) anyone else feel the same way? or am I alone on this one?

Hippies are fools.  Their little panacea is really a pile of sh*t which can only exist within an enclave insulated by a wealthy nation.

In some ways yes it is coming back. Concern for the environment and rights of the people is certainly coming back, as is a distrust of government and desire to rebel and protest against this.

The difference this time around is that ins ted of the freedom loving days of hippies not having to work a steady job and be able to go to rally after march after commune, today's hippies are generally educated and idealistic professionals willing to use their station in life to bring about change. It is the marriage of hippie values and conservative values that brings about true change.

ok, I was there.

There was the make love not war thing. Which got compromised by the use of illegal drugs that changed mind patterns and caused behavior worse than war itself.

The intention was in the right direction, but the hippie era burned itself out. The memories live on in many of us. My kids call me a hippie....it is a spirit- a good idea if used for good. Like any power.

yes your right but we must allremember the dark times of the hippie era acid realley messed people up lets not forget people like charlie manson if it has come back i doubt itll last that long could it be that the world is out of themes to entertain mankind so it reuses the hippie era yet again maybe as a distraction maybe something big is coming

I was surprised when a 5th grader gave me the peace sign a few months ago.  I guess for everything there is a season.  I hope it goes a little better this time around.  I guess we always need to believe that we are at the dawning of the age of Aquarius.
