1. Well the Hiptop slide might look cool and contain some pretty neat features it has the potential to cost a LOT, the Hiptop slide will cost a minimum of $30p/month PLUS actual cost of handset over 24 months will cost you over $1320 at least. If its a phone your looking for as well as the Ipod touch for that money you could just get the Iphone, might average out cheaper in the end and you get the look and feel of the ipod touch so you get the best of both worlds. Otherwise you should be able to find a cheap Ipod Touch on ebay or if you shop around find it a bit cheaper than RRP. If i were you i'd go for the Ipod touch, theres no point in getting stuck in a 24 month contract at a silly rate of $30 per month

  2. Try to resist being part of the Ipod cult. There are other companies that make good products. I'd say go with the competition. If nothing else you get to be the one person who doesn't have to be stapled to the d**n ipod.

  3. Depends what you want.

Do you want music, or do you want internet access?

If you get an iPod touch, you can't use the internet part everywhere. Only places with a wifi connection.

HipTops run on mobile phone reception, so you can use the internet everywhere.

The only downside of HipTops is that they cost a lot to buy the handset itself.

I myself would rather a HipTop because I already have a nano, and even if I didn't I'm more addicted to the internet than music, but it comes down to a personal desicion.
