I hired someone (father and son team) to install a 6 ft tall. privacy fence, a total of about 125 ft. Each panel is 8 feet wide. One side has a gate, and the other side has 2 gates for my driveway. There is a slight downward slope on one side of the yard. What would any professionals charge out there for a job like this? This would be for labor only, I bought all the material myself. thanks!

  1. My neighbor right across the street has a professional, licensed fence company and I priced a 6 foot wooden fence installed on my property and he quoted me at 13.00 a linear foot, and that was him furnishing all materials...That is only $1,625.00 for your fence...and you not buying a thing..You said noone was lower than 2k on your bids, and that is labor only..They are trying to get to you..I can do 125 foot of wood fence already in panels in about 12 to 14 man hours myself over a period of 2 days, so concrete dries, and I am A painter by trade..but have built many of these fences for my own use ...Actually the first answerer was pretty well right on cue for labor only..$400.00 is a fair price for youand them..That totals out still to about $36.00 a man hour..to get the job done...

  2. i would say about $400 is fairr depending on how long it takes them .. but it really all depends how long of a job this really is .. 25-35 an hour for the 2 of them combind is a good price to pay ...
