Hey I used to work at Subway! don't down play it like that?!! I know most companies will NOT hire a 15 year old because most companies hire people older than that. They want a responsible ADULT. And they are kind of too lazy to hire people who still go to school. They want also people with experience.

  4. i think 15 is too young...its 16 upwards

  5. Home Good's. Many people havent heard of them because it's kinda new.Their hiring now. Look in your Phone book to find them.

  6. The big problem with hiring 15 year olds is that there are a lot more restrictions on what they are allowed and not allowed to do than there are on 16 year olds.  For instance, not being allowed to use knives or climb on step ladders.

That being said, I worked at a Wendy's once where they allowed a 15 year old to do cashier, but that was only because they were really pressed for help.  In any other case, they wouldn't have hired a 15 year old, instead looking for a 16 year old or older.

    Good luck.

  7. As for chain businesses, movie theaters are your best bet, and than small grocery stores.

Generally though, the best chances with getting a job at 15 is to try locally owned businesses.

  12. it depends on where you live. in the Midwest you only have to be 13 to start detasseling.   most businesses don't like to hire younger than 16 because restrictions on what you can do and how long you can work not to mention no possibility of you driving to work.  Try asking friends and family if they know of any job openings thats always how i get  really good jobs     If nothing else try volunteering somewhere it always looks good on a resume and builds experience

  13. In England the official age is 15 and 3 months, also the hours a child can work per week is also stated.   Not sure about other countries.

  14. Have you looked into taking a babysitting course and CPR and then looking to babysit for the summer....a lot of parents need care for their older kids...say 9 to 12 year old s and they might be looking for someone just to be there and keep an eye on them.....It might be an option.

  15. In most states you have to be 16; there are even states that require you to first obtain a work permit.

A child that is 15 may work in a business owned by family, but often they will not get hired any where else before age 16.

Have her gain some experience by volunteering this summer, so she has something to add on her resume, and have references for when she will be able to get a job.

  16. Some grocery stores will hire 15 year olds, but other places they won't.
