  1. At 30 years old the love of his life passed away.  So he too stopped "living."   He didn't want to love again.  He had no desire to have fun or explore the world  he was emotionally dead.  His body didn't give up and stop working until he was 65 years old and that's when he was buried.

  2. Maybe he gave up on life at a young age?

  3. Death isn’t the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.  If you’re not careful you could end up like the man whose tombstone read, “Died at 30. Buried at 60.” Don’t let that happen to you. When you find your God-given purpose, with it comes your passion.

It means you must be passionate about life - you must have a purpose.

  4. "Many peoples' tombstones should read 'Died at 30, buried at 60.'" is from Nobel Prize winner Nicholas Murray Butler I don't know where this is from, maybe a speech or lecture, but Butler was Columbia University president, so I suspect it's got something to do with a person who doesn't make full use of their (intellectual) capacities.

  5. I think it means he stopped using his brain at 30.  Then he lived another 35 years, but might as well have been dead.

Hopefully I don't come close to fitting that description, but I am 67.
