Hispania Racing Team boss Colin Kolles says team financially sound – Formula 1 news
Hispania Racing Team boss Colin Kolles has recently revealed that the team is now in a more stable condition financially and that they are now doing much better than many other teams.
“My direction is always clear. You have to secure a team to make it financially viable; to make it safe so it survives. This is one of the first objectives, because if you are not managing this, then you can have a lot of dreams, a lot of fantasies,
but they will never come across because you won't exist,” he told the media.
According to some reports, it was revealed during the 2010 Formula 1 season that the team was going through a rough patch financially as a result of which it was believed that they might not even stay on the Formula 1 grid in 2011.
However, the team stabilised and now they are still a part of 2011 and according to Kolles, the team is here to stay in the sport since they are now secure financially and they are more reliable now.
Other than that, he added that the team is now going to try its best to increase its staff in order to progress and score even better results in the sport with consistency.
“I think that we are in a much better position than many other teams here in the paddock, and now we have to start to improve this team at full power, as quickly as possible. I know that people are impatient sometimes, especially journalists,” said
Kolles.
He claims that the team is not approaching the sport unprofessionally as they are thinking quite realistically as a result of which they are going to take one step at a time in order to improve the team’s performance and make its structure even stronger.
HRT are the only team that was unable to qualify at any race this season while their rivals Virgin Racing Team and Team Lotus are scoring much better results and improving at a much faster rate comparatively.
