  1. something may not be grounded good on the car

  2. maybe there's a better radio suppressor spark plug for your engine?

  3. here are a few areas it could be:

1 - through the signal wire (power wire too close to RCA's)

2 - through the remote turn on power wire.

    3 - poor ground.

4 - Interference thought the antenna wire (would not happen with a CD if this is the case)

First thing i would do is double check all the ground wires. make sure the connection is good and the paint is removed from the connection point.

next i would make sure the power wire is as far as possible away from the antenna wire and your RCA cables. if its not , move it farther. also a better pair of RCA's could help, twisted ones are much better at "repelling" interference. also there are line filters for the RCA cables. you can get them at crutchfield.com. essentially you plug a RCA into it, and another pair out of it and the little box has a ground itself. this eliminates a ground loop interference (i think this is your issue). lastly i would consider putting a simple 12v line filter on the remote wire at the amp. (can get at radio shack) most amps filter this noise, but if it is sever enough it may have some leak through.

i would not waste money on a cap for the 4 channel amp. but that's only my opinion. it is a solution that may work, but it is a very costly one compared to what i mentioned above.

    good luck hope that helps.

  4. run your power wire and rca cables on opposite sides of car. if not reground your amp
