Histogram for this data?

So I am working with wins per season.

But I can't seem to figure out the variables for the X and Y axis..

The axis can't be categorical data..so then I have to put the wins on the X-axis..but what would be the Y axis?

I am doing this for an "investigative task" for my AP stats class and I have to make a histogram and a normal model. The data works for the normal model..so help with the histogram please!!

  1. ive taken ap stats, so here it goes:

your y-axis is the count axis. it has nothing to do with the data. the x-axis is the number of wins, in groups (ex: 0-5, 6-10, etc).

therefore, if you have three teams that won between 0 and 5 games, then that bar will go up to the three on the y axis. if you and 6 in the 6 to 10 category, then that bar would go up the the 6 on the y axis.

hope this helps. add me as a contact if you want, and i can help you with stats (not bragging, but i got a 4 on my ap exam).

  2. Normally, a histogram would contain categorical data on the x axis and values on the Y axis.  So put seasons or years on x and wins on y
