Historical monuments in egypt

Question

If I were to plan this itinerary to Egypt: http://www.advantage-intl.com/egyptei.html , would all the places listed there be of great historical significance? Any others to recommend?

the itinerary is very well planned .

you can squeeze in Abu Simbel  when you are in Aswan.

it is worth seeing .

the monuments were saved from the Nile waters before the High Dam was constructed .

it takes abour 3-4 hrs by a land vehicle .

Yes, I think this itinerary is great.  It includes all the great historical monuments of Cairo and Upper Egypt.  If you just could squeeze in Alexandria to see the Greaco-Roman monuments as well, it would be very interesting.
