I don't mind smokers - as long as they keep their filth ridden stink away from my nostrils.

  5. It has been a tradition for centuries practiced in china.

  6. you said IT

    historically..!

also wood fires to heat & cook are common

you can not keep the smoke out..

  7. Smoking is still completely acceptable in the underdeveloped or developing countries like India, China, etc.   Smoking has been around for many centuries, and one cannot expect it to be banished just like that.  I am a non-smoker, but I think that the propaganda against smoking is exaggerated to an astounding degree.  Someone should sue the governments for telling blatant lies about the effects of smoking.   One of the effects is supposed to be infertility.  Tell that to the Chinese and see if they believe you.  If all the effects attributed to smoking were true, the world would have about a couple of hundred people living on it.  Everyone would have died through cancer, heart problems, emphysema, and a whole bunch of other stuff.  Never mind the inability to procreate.  Smoking CANNOT be good for you, but it's detrimental effects are grossly exaggerated.
