I can't seem to get a hold of my (online school) teacher and I can't seem to find the answer in the book so I thought I'd give Yahoo! Answers a shot.

Question: Why did the U.S.A refuse membership in the League?

The U.S Senate rejected U.S membership into the League of Nations because they did not want to get involved in European affairs.
