So why do the liberals continue to want to try it?

Socialism, Redistribution of wealth, Emminant domain

They seem fascinated by it in the college papers they write, and the theology they spew, in the policies they want in place, in the hatred of the haves.

And dont say they dont, they want higher taxes so they can give it to the have nots. its redistribution of wealth through government means. not free market which HAS been proven to work.

100 years ago we diddnt have

Ad valorem

Environment Affecting Tax

Capital gains tax

Consumption tax

Corporation tax

Excises

Income tax

Inheritance tax

Poll tax

Property tax

Retirement tax

Sales tax

Tariffs

Toll

Transfer tax

Value Added Tax / Goods and Services Tax

Wealth (net worth) tax

And we were the wealthiest nation in the world, now were in deep debt...

Ill admit on paper it looks good, but if its so good, why do so many people want to be in america? why has communist nations all over fallen? why do the socialized programs of other stink so badly?

  1. Why do you think they claimed the Democrat title and then took total control over it. Because on their true title they would have never gotten the chance to control our country. First they needed to convince the Dem's that they were also Dem's, and then turn everyone against any of us who stand up for our rights, and our Constitution. Then force out anyone who oppose them.

Please Democrat does not mean Democracy any more. They make true Democrats look bad.

  2. You voted for BUSH didnt you? lol  Tell me again why we're in Iraq.

  3. with china being the oldest and longest lasting civilization

in the world, they have proven that communism does work

  4. I don't know, I think that communism works great in small countries like Sweden, in fact, I read somewhere that Swedes are one of the happiest and most content people in the world.

However, the bigger the government gets, the more people that it controls, the more impersonal it becomes.

I think that communism on a small level is great, as long as ALL participants in the system are consenting. But... when force is used to enforce the situation, that's when it becomes morally wrong.

Our hulking federal government doesn't really have a good track record with controlling programs (social security anyone?) Why would we want more federal control?

  5. Because they aren't selfish....and believe that people are most good...even when they're not. (you)

  6. Nobody but the Neocons see Communists at every turn.   Typical GOP fear mongering.  Get a new trick, okay?

  7. Were you trying to see how many mistakes you could put in 1 question?

1 The national debt can be laid at the foot of two people, Reagan and Bush

2 Some of the taxes you quote were here 100 years ago (toll, transfer taxes), some don't exist today (retirement tax?)

3 The only redistribution of wealth is from the taxpayers to defense contractors.

I can't decide if your just listening to to much talk radio or just a product of "no child left behind"

  8. Agreed on paper it looks good but its a simple answer. You cant base a civilization on the idea that everyone has the same needs. Thats what socialism/democracy works so well. There are so many people that can hear the people and get the points across. Where as in Communism the government ignores the people and does what they want to do.

  9. Taxes are not communism. Not sure where you figured that from, but someone has been telling you lies.

  10. Where in the world did you see communism, ever ? Communist party in power is not the same as communism. If you are talking about Soviet Union, then that was a radical socialism, not communism.

You are fighting with your own imaginary ghosts, my friend.

  11. That is a straw man argument. Liberals don't want to try Communism. But they do want more governmental regulation over business. That isn't the same thing as the government taking complete control of the economy as it would be under Communism.
