History of brownies...?

Question

i heard that the first few brownie recipes had no chocolate in them. is tat true?

and i also heard tat brownies were made wen a cook didnt add baking powder in a choc. cake.

so i was wondering if either of them was true.

no actually it was a mistake...the lady that invented it was making chocolate chip cookies and then they put to much chocolate in it
