History of failure of revolt in philippine?

i don't know of any writings about the failure of revolt(s) in the philippines, much less a history of it; failure in anything is very difficult to write about.

however, in my personal opinion, failure of revolts in the philippines is mainly caused by a high degree of regionalism among the filipinos. there are still traces of it (regionalism) even in today's national democratic struggle; much more so, i think.

look at how the mainstream proponents of nat-dem split themselves up instead of joining forces to form a single force, for higher degree of struggle for liberation.
