My friend's car was hit pretty badly while it was parked at her apartment complex las night. She has full coverage insurance which is a relief, however she's afraid to call the police to file a report because she has warrants. If the police come to make a report, what are the chances they'll take her to jail and thus further eff up her situation?

  1. You dont need a P/R to make a claim...however she will probably have to file under her collision and not uninsured motorist...depending on the state law.

But the Police would probably arrest her if they came out.

  2. Thats kinda tricky.. Hopefully if and when she calls the police when she makes the report they will overlook the warrant .so just know even if the police book her for that she"ll do a few hours, and get out but at least she'll have that taken care of, and her car will get repaired..

  3. a fine upstanding citizen your friend is!  I am sure they will run her information and arrest her.  Problem is without a police report, the insurance company won't take a claim...../
