Hitachi snowy screen and noisy

Question

TV just gets snowy (no picture) and very noisy without any action from us. We will just be watching any channel and this will happen. Sometimes one after the other, and sometimes 2 or 3 times daily. The picture and sound are fine when this is not happening. Any ideas about what the problem could be and how to correct it? Thank you
